German coach Jurgen Klinsmann confirmed that he will not be coaching the US national team. The coach of the 1990 World Cup champion Germany national team led the team to third place in this year's World Cup. After that, J. Klinsmann left this position and negotiated with the US Soccer Federation (USSF) for a while about working with the national team of this country.
However, the German did not reveal why the prolonged negotiations with USSF president Sunil Gulati were unsuccessful.
"Sunil Gulati and I were working on the program for the US men's national team and discussing it, but I decided to withdraw from the list of possible candidates to coach the US national team. I do not want to comment on my decision," the German said.
Earlier, it was reported that Jurgen Klinsmann, who lives with his family in the United States, requested a salary that was too high for the USSF to agree to for the possible new position.
