On late Sunday evening, the remaining two matches of the French football championship "Ligue 1" 17th round were played. The league leader "Lyon" secured another victory, while the match between the teams "Lille" and "Saint-Etienne" ended in a draw.

This time, the defending champions Lyon welcomed the Parisian team "P.S.G" at home and defeated them with a score of 3-1. The Lyon players took the lead in this match when Sylvain Wiltord scored in the last minute of the first half. This led to a comeback for the Paris team and in the 60th minute, Portuguese player Pedro Pauleta equalized, giving hope to their fans. Meanwhile, Lyon managed to score two more goals in the final four minutes of the game to clinch the victory. The decisive goals were scored by Cris and Florent Malouda in the 87th and 88th minutes respectively.

In the other Sunday match in Lille, the top teams in the table, Lille and Saint-Etienne, faced each other. The visitors took the lead in the 8th minute with a goal from Brazilian player Ilan. However, Mathieu Bodmer equalized the score after just 15 minutes, and Kader Keita scored for Lille in the 52nd minute. Despite conceding two unanswered goals, Saint-Etienne did not give up, and Ilan scored his second goal in the 66th minute to level the match. Neither team could find the net again until the end, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
