The head coach Cesare Prandelli won the Italian "Golden Bench" award, which is given annually to the best coach in the country.
The title, awarded based on the votes of other coaches, was given to the strategist for his merits in returning the two-time Italian champions "Fiorentina" to the country's football elite.
A special prize was also awarded to former Italian national team coach Marcello Lippi, whose team became World Champion in Germany this year.
49-year-old C. Prandelli began his career in "Serie A" in 1997, when he took charge of "Lecce". He later led the clubs "Venezia" and "Parma", and last July he joined "Fiorentina", which had barely managed to stay in "Serie A" before that.
Under C. Prandelli's leadership, the Florence club once again competed for top spots in the Italian championship.
Last season they finished fourth, securing a ticket to the UEFA Champions League, but it was revoked after a court decided that "Fiorentina" had influenced the referees in matches.
This year they started the season with a deficit of fifteen points, but have already risen to 16th place in the twenty-team tournament.
