On Wednesday in Tokyo, the Brazilian Football Confederation will submit an official application to host the 2014 World Cup.

The CBF statement says: "CBF President Ricardo Teixeira will submit an official application to host the championship in Brazil after a 64-year hiatus". The last strongest national teams festival on the planet took place in this country in 1950, and the hosts finished in 2nd place.

A.Teixeira and the FIFA Board are currently in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, where the Club World Cup is taking place.

The 2010 championship will be held in the Republic of South Africa, and in 2014, according to the rotation principle, it is the turn of South America to host.

Since none of the remaining nine countries in this region has expressed a desire to host the World Cup, the five-time world champion Brazil is considered the favorite to host the competition since the beginning of the application process in 2003.
