On Wednesday, the UEFA Cup tournament battles in groups E, F, G, and H came to an end, featuring intriguing matchups.
It was a successful evening for two Dutch clubs. Both "Ajax" and "Feyenoord" secured important victories, securing their tickets to the round of 16. Interestingly, "Feyenoord" achieved this playing in their empty stadium - a punishment the club received for the misconduct of their fans in the previous match against "Nancy" in France.
Only in the last game did Paris "P.S.G." secure a spot in the next stage, crushing the winner of Group G in the previous round, "Panathinaikos."
The matches in Group H unfolded dramatically. Both "Palermo" and Frankfurt "Eintracht" needed victories against the higher-ranked Vigo "Celta" and Istanbul "Fenerbahce." These clubs took the lead but failed to maintain it, playing to a draw and missing out on the round of 16.
