In the last round of the VI "A-League" in Vilnius, "Vėtra" and league leader FBK "Kaunas" met. The Kaunas team won a dramatic match with a score of 1-2.

The match started in the rain. The guests had the first chance, but they failed to convert a penalty kick near the penalty area. The hosts started to dominate the game, while the Kaunas team played fast counterattacks. In the 22nd minute, the "Kaunas" defender played excellently, clearing the ball from an opponent in a dangerous situation. "Vėtra" continued to press the opponents, but they failed to create more dangerous opportunities. After 25 minutes, rough play commenced, and the referee quickly showed three yellow cards. In the 30th minute, a dangerous shot by the villagers flew wide. Three minutes later, "Kaunas" passed the ball into the penalty area, a shot was taken, but with combined efforts, the goalkeeper and defenders cleared the ball off the line. The first goal came with two minutes left until the end of the first half - defender Darius Gvildys scored it after a corner kick.

During halftime, "Vėtra" coach Valdas Ivanauskas made two substitutions. In the second half, the Vilnius team's shot from 15 meters was saved by Gytis Padimanskas in the 47th minute. The score was leveled in the 52nd minute by Nerijus Vasiliauskas. The course of the match did not satisfy the "Kaunas" players, and they took the initiative, with several dangerous attacks by Mikoliūnas on the right side. The game gradually calmed down and evened out. In the 76th minute, an attack by the guests, a pass into the penalty area, the host's defenders cleared the ball, and the Kaunas team appealed to the referee for handball. In the 86th minute, after chaos in the penalty area, Sanajevas scored a goal. However, in this disputed episode, goalkeeper Marius Poškus was injured, expressing his dissatisfaction to the referee and receiving a red card. Since all the Vilnius team's substitutions were used, a field player had to go in goal. The tension reached its climax, and the spectators accompanied each decision of the referee with booing. In the last minute, "Vėtra" could have equalized, but after the goalkeeper's intervention, no player was able to direct the ball into the empty goal. After the match, emotions continued to boil, and the relationship on the field was discussed by the fiery coach Valdas Ivanauskas.
