The Lithuanian U-19 national team lost to their peers from the Netherlands in the last matches of the European Championship qualifying stage and finished last in their group.
In these matches, Lithuania needed a win and could hope for a draw in the next match, but nothing worked out. The team was missing goalkeeper Kilijonas, who broke his nose in a match against the Hungarians and had to undergo surgery. Despite efforts, Lithuania lost to the Dutch - Babel scored the winning goal in the 75th minute. In the next match, Spain crushed Hungary 3-0, securing a ticket to the final tournament of the European Championship.
