The management of the Dortmund club will hold a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the team's goals. As the general director Hans-Joachim Watzke stated, this decision was made after another loss at home, this time to the Bayer Leverkusen team. After this match, the team's football players were booed by the fans.
The head coach Bert van Marwijk felt pressure when reports emerged that he would leave the club at the end of the season. German media speculates that the coach will be fired during the winter break.
"On Tuesday, there will be a meeting to analyze the current situation and draw conclusions," H. J. Watzke said in an interview with a German television channel.
However, B. van Marwijk told the same television reporter that he knew nothing about any meeting.
"I don't know anything about it. I spoke to him (ed. note - H. J. Watzke) and he didn't mention anything to me. On Tuesday, we will have a training session," the coach described the situation.
After a victory on Sunday, the Dortmund Borussia club has gathered 22 points in 17 matches and currently holds the 9th place in the league table. The club has only won two out of the nine home matches played so far.
