The goalkeeper of the German national team and Arsenal, Jens Lehmann, in an interview with one of the German newspapers stated that he would like to stay at the club in the English capital, London.
"I don't know," the German answered when asked if he would leave Arsenal after the season. "But speaking about my future, Arsenal is definitely the most important club."
The 37-year-old goalkeeper mentioned that he is not bothered by Arsenal's policy, which offers only one-year contracts to footballers over 30. The German said that it suits him perfectly and he has already signed such contracts three times.
"A one-year contract wouldn't be so bad," the goalkeeper said. "But wait. I'm not saying that I would definitely accept Arsenal's offer. I would have to analyze it well. And if I couldn't come to an agreement with Arsenal - I am open to all offers."
J. Lehmann, who helped Arsenal reach the final of the UEFA Champions League last season, where the English club lost to Barcelona, and also reached the semi-finals of the World Cup with the German national team, stated that he is interested in clubs from Spain and Germany.
"However, I may not decide until May," the German said. "I am very calm about my future."
