In the English Premier League team "Charlton", which is currently struggling unsuccessfully, there is a change in coaches. Instead of Les Reed, who has not been very successful leading the team so far, the recently fired Alan Pardew from "West Ham" will take over as head coach.

"Charlton", occupying the penultimate place among the twenty teams in the English Premier League and winning only three out of 19 games played so far, stated that L. Reed left the club by mutual agreement. Neither side was satisfied with the result achieved by the coach - six losses were suffered in eight games.

The last drop in the patience cup of "Charlton" management was the defeat at home on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the England League Cup with a score of 1-0 to the fourth strongest team in the English league, "Wycombe".

A. Pardew, who replaced L. Reed, was fired from "West Ham" on December 11 due to unsatisfactory results. The Englishman signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the new club.

This is already the second coach this season to be fired by the "Charlton" management. Iain Dowie, who started leading the team in the summer, replaced the legendary Alan Curbishley, who had been leading the club for 15 years and was fired in November because his team had only gathered 8 points in twelve matches.

A. Pardew's debut at "Charlton" will take place this Wednesday when the club hosts another London team, "Fulham", at home.

At "West Ham", A. Pardew has been in charge since October 2003, and last season the team finished 9th in the English Championship and also managed to reach the FA Cup final, where they lost after a penalty shootout to the strongest team in Europe in 2005, "Liverpool".
