Scottish champions Glasgow will have to do without one of their defenders, Bobo Balde, for several months as he broke his leg in two places.
The 31-year-old defender from the Guinea national team suffered the injury during Tuesday's Scottish championship match against Dundee United, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
It is almost certain that B. Balde will miss both UEFA Champions League round of 16 matches against Milan, which will take place at the end of February and the beginning of March.
The defender, who arrived at Celtic in 2001, has played only six matches for the Scottish champions this year due to previous injuries.
In addition to B. Balde, two other Celtic players have also suffered injuries: Gary Caldwell and Mark Wilson. It is almost certain that during the winter transfer window, opening on January 1, Glasgow's coach Gordon Strachan will seek to strengthen the defensive line, with former Edinburgh Hearts captain Steven Pressley being one of the top candidates.
