In the 66th minute, "Charlton" goalkeeper Scott Carson deflected a dangerous shot by C. Bocanegra. In the 77th minute, the hosts' goalkeeper Dennis Rommedahl responded with a threatening shot, which was blocked by Anti Niemi.
Just when it seemed that former West Ham coach Alan Pardew would secure a victory in his debut match with "Charlton," Fulham managed to salvage a draw. In the 93rd minute, after a penalty near the hosts' goal, the ball fell to Fulham defender Frank Queudrue, who calmly struck it into the net – 2-2. This was the first French goal of the season.
After these drawn matches, Charlton remains in 19th place, while Fulham shares 11th-12th place with Newcastle.
