Italian national team and club striker and captain says that he wants to play for this club until 2014. Currently his contract with "Roma" is valid until 2011, but F. Totti wants to stay with the team until 2014, when he will be 38 years old, and after finishing his career, he wants to take a position in the club's management.
"After finishing my career, I would like to work not as a coach, but to take a position in the club's management. Coaching is not for me," - said the Italian.
The loyalty of the 30-year-old striker to the team from the Italian capital is astonishing. F. Totti has been representing the "Roma" club since 1993, when he was 17 years old. Over 13 years with his team, he had already played 365 matches and scored 163 goals before this season.
"My contract ends in 2011. But I want to extend it for at least two or three more years. I feel good, I am satisfied with myself, and I can play for a long time. Why should I end my career earlier?" - rhetorically asked the "Roma" captain.
If Francesco Totti manages to extend his contract for three more years, after finishing his career he would become a kind of record holder, as he would have represented his club for as long as 21 years.
