S

teven Pressley finally made a decision - the former Edinburgh defender will continue his career at Glasgow's team.

Interestingly, just yesterday the 33-year-old veteran passed a medical examination at a London team and was about to put his signature on a contract, but at the last moment, he changed his mind and accepted an offer from not an English, but his native country's club.

"It was very difficult to decide," said S. Pressley's agent Blair Morgan.

"He had two excellent offers from two very good clubs. We were really interested in Charlton, but the decisive factor was the opportunity to play in European cup competitions next season."

In the Hearts team, there was no place left for S. Pressley after a dispute with the owner Vladimir Romanov - openly criticizing the decisions of the businessman from Lithuania, the Scot terminated the contract by mutual agreement at the beginning of December.

Interest in the free agent was also shown by Southampton, Derby, and Leeds, but all of these clubs play in the second tier of the English league and did not interest S. Pressley.

Debuting with the green Celtic jersey, the defender, who previously represented Glasgow Rangers, Coventry City, and Dundee, will be able to play after January 1.

However, the Scot will not play in the Champions League as he has already done so in the Hearts team in the qualification rounds.
