Coach Claudio Ranieri's future did not become clear after today's meeting with the team's general director Peter Kenyon.

Another unexpected statement was made by Kenyon, claiming that the meeting only discussed players, not coaches. Ranieri himself did not comment further on the meeting.

"Discussions are ongoing," said the coach's agent Phil Smith to the BBC television channel. "He should be left in peace to do his job properly."

The agent also confirmed that the meeting only discussed players and summer transfer possibilities.

All season there have been rumors that Ranieri will be fired. The most realistic contender was coach Jose Mourinho. However, he hasn't really engaged in talks until the season is over.

Meanwhile, R. Abramovich traveled to Italy on Thursday and met with vice president Adrian Galliani. The latter denied after the meeting that a possible transfer of Andriy Shevchenko to the London team was discussed.

Earlier this season there were rumors that Chelsea offered £20 million for the Ukrainian.

"Milan" will not sell their best players, including Shevchenko," said Adrian Galliani. "We made it clear to him (R. Abramovich) that he is not for sale."
