The agent of the Czech national team and Birmingham club striker in the English Premier League, Milan Baros, stated that his client rejected an offer to move to one of the strugglers of the Spanish Primera Liga, Real Sociedad, but will consider other offers received.
"Milan did not accept the offer presented by Real Sociedad," said the striker's agent Pavel Paska. "There will be no more discussions. If a serious offer is received, we will definitely consider it."
The longtime Glasgow Celtic club strategist Martin O'Neill, who took over the reins of Aston Villa this season, recently said that "he is not completely sure" if the Czech wants to stay in the team.
Aston Villa acquired M. Baros from one of the most titled English clubs, Liverpool, around 18 months ago, paying a sum of 7 million pounds sterling.
This season, the striker in O'Neill's team has not appeared frequently in the main team lineup in the country's championship and has only scored one goal, adding another one today in the Football Association (FA) Cup match against Man Utd.
"If a striker doesn't score goals for a long time, he should ask himself something," added coach M. O'Neill.
On Saturday, the Irish specialist visited West Bromwich and intensified rumors that he may make an offer for the highly-rated WBA defender Curtis Davies.
Aston Villa is also linked to Romanian Steaua Bucharest striker Nicolae Dica and Watford right-back Ashley Young from this year's English Premier League.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa should be reinforced next week by defender Phil Bardsley, who will be loaned from the league leader Man Utd.
At the midway point of the Premier League competition, Aston Villa, after a great start to the season, now sits in 13th place after 22 matches played with 26 points.
