Vilnius is negotiating with the most productive player of the last season in the Lithuanian "A Lyga," Ukrainian Sergiy Kuznetsov. The 24-year-old forward, together with the team, did not go to the training camp in Turkey on Thursday due to personal reasons.

"Negotiations are taking place," a representative of "Vėtra" commented succinctly to the EuroFootball.com portal. "He did not go to Turkey due to personal reasons, and we do not want to comment further on the situation during the negotiations."

Last season, S. Kuznetsov scored 18 goals in the Lithuanian championship and helped "Vėtra" to win bronze medals.

Former Ukraine youth national team striker has played in clubs such as Helsinki "Jokerit" (Finland), Budapest "Ferencváros" (Hungary), "FC Gomel" (Belarus), Tiraspol "Sheriff" (Moldova), Poltava "Vorskla" and Mariupol "Illichivets" (both - Ukraine).

Today (Thursday), "Vėtra" left for a training camp in Turkey, where they will train for three weeks and play friendly matches with Russian "Premier" league clubs Dynamo Moscow and Spartak, as well as Odessa's "Chornomorets."

24 footballers went to Turkey, including Georgian David Chigladze who represented Marijampolė's "Sūduva" last season, and three Brazilians.

"The team is practically complete. A goalkeeper from Bulgaria will arrive for a trial, as we do not yet have a serious replacement for Vaidas Žutautas. We intend to test a couple of defenders and midfielders. We invited several young, promising Brazilians to strengthen the attack. I think that by the second camp in Turkey in February, the team will be fully assembled," said head coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas.

"At the beginning of the camp, there will be three training sessions per day - after the holidays, players need to get back into their usual rhythm," said the Russian coach about the training camp. "We do not intend to focus solely on physical training, which many coaches emphasize during the preseason. There will be a lot of emphasis on technique and tactics. I am a supporter of game-related exercises. Players need to work a lot with the ball, which brings more benefits, and it is also more interesting and easier for the footballers themselves to endure the physical training sessions."

Also, all recently added players to the team have gone to Turkey: defender Mindaugas Panka from Vilnius, Croatian national team player defender Marijan Budimir, former Kėdainiai "Nevėžis" forward Vitalis Stankevičius, and Slovenian defender Almir Sulejmanovičius who missed the first part of last season with Klaipėda's "Atlantas."
