On the night of May 26th, around 3 o'clock, the guard of the football club (FC) "Vėtra" was attacked. Three attackers tied up the FC "Vėtra" employee and beat him up.

The loot of the robbers includes this year's NFKA A league championship "Vėtra" match recordings, club members' documents, a video camera and working materials of the National Football Clubs Association (NFKA) Discipline Committee: structured disciplinary penalties, moments of controversial referee decisions recorded on video tapes.

On the eve of the theft, the NFKA Discipline Committee was meeting exactly in the premises of FC "Vėtra" (Liepkalnio str. 13/2), where they were discussing sharply the refereeing of the recent matches between "Vėtra" and FBK "Kaunas".

NFKA director and FC "Vėtra" president Romas Stašauskas is convinced that "the theft of computers with "Vėtra" match recordings is definitely unnecessary". The president is surprised that no other expensive office equipment was stolen.

An investigation into this incident is being conducted at the Vilnius City Police Headquarters.

Today, FC "Vėtra" is playing the return match of the LFF Cup quarter-finals in Šiauliai. According to the club's head coach Valdas Ivanauskas: "The men, upon hearing about such villainy, became even more focused. Such incidents mobilize the team for further battles."

Tomorrow, the NFKA Discipline Committee will meet in Klaipėda. An extraordinary NFKA Board meeting is called for June 1st.
