As reported by the official website of Panevėžys "Ekrantas", the club's defender will try to establish himself in Russia and will leave for a trial with Moscow's "Dinamo" on Sunday.
The 24-year-old from Panevėžys, who has represented the Lithuanian national team three times, will train in Turkey for two weeks with the "Dinamo" team, where Lithuanian goalkeeper Žydrūnas Karčemarskas has been playing for several seasons.
A.Klimavičius is by no means the first key player of "Ekrantas" who has tried to establish himself in Russian clubs in the past six months.
In June 2006, Panevėžys team captain Mantas Savėnas participated in a trial with "Moskva". The most productive player of the last two seasons in the "A Lyga" has long been linked with a move abroad, but remained at "Ekrantas" and is currently recovering from an injury.
Meanwhile, defender Gediminas Paulauskas went for a trial with Nalchik's "Spartak" in the Russian "Premier" League last December, but also did not sign a contract with the club.
