Having had an unsuccessful 2006, the Lithuanian national team and St. Petersburg striker is looking for a new club. This was confirmed by the player to the newspaper "Lietuvos žinios".
In the middle of the 2005 season, plagued by financial problems, "Krylia Sovetov" sold R. Poškus to "Zenit", but the Lithuanian player failed to fully establish himself in the main team lineup. As the 2006 season progressed and the team was taken over by Dutchman Dick Advocaat, he was later loaned to a Moscow club.
However, injuries prevented the Lithuanian striker from establishing himself in the Russian capital - he only played five matches in the "Premier" league and one cup match. Poškus decided not to stay with "Dinamo", and with "Zenit" acquiring Russian national team striker Pavel Pogrebniak and Argentine Alejandro Dominguez for a record 7 million euros, his chances of playing for the St. Petersburg team decreased to a minimum.
"Negotiations are taking place with several Russian and foreign clubs. I could be loaned out, but I do not rule out the possibility that another club will buy out my contract," said R. Poškus, who has a one and a half year contract with "Zenit", as quoted in the newspaper "Lietuvos žinios". Earlier, the Russian press linked him with "Khimki" and EuroFootball.com mentioned that he had an offer from one of the Lithuanian clubs.
