As stated by the general director Rick Parry to journalists on Sunday, the club should be acquired by the company "Dubai International Capital" (DIC) in the near future.
"Negotiations are already in the final stage, where all the dots are being put on the 'i'," R. Parry told BBC radio. "We have put in a lot of work, so we hope to finish everything relatively quickly and be able to announce something."
DIC, a division of the government of Dubai, one of the emirates in the United Arab Emirates, has been negotiating the purchase of "Liverpool" for six weeks.
R. Parry also added that "Liverpool" can still strengthen even before the winter transfer window closes.
"We need to have priorities, and ours is to invest in the main team. We have already done this several times with substantial sums over the past three years," said the general director of "Liverpool." "We can still acquire players before the transfer window closes."
