As reported by the Russian media on Sunday, Edinburgh may soon be joined by Georgia national team midfielder Gogita Gogua. According to the press, the player has already been training with the team led by Valdas Ivanauskas.
The 23-year-old Georgia national team member spent last season at the Nalchik club, and has previously played for the "Khimki" and "Tbilisi" clubs.
The 170 cm tall footballer has played seventeen matches for the Georgia national team.
In the 2006 season, Gogua played 23 matches with the Spartak team, scoring 2 goals and making six assists, but was expelled from the field twice.
According to the Russian media, Hearts initially want to rent the Georgian player for half a year, and then decide whether to buy him in the summer.
"We knew that Gogita was almost in agreement with Hearts. He constantly informed us about his plans and always emphasized that he intended to return if things did not work out for him in Scotland," said Spartak head coach Yuri Krasnozhan. "I am happy for the player and wish him success."
