French championship leaders club forward Sylvain Wiltord suffered an injury in last weekend's match against Toulouse, which Lyon lost 0-2, and as a result will be unable to play for about four weeks.
According to the club doctor Jean-Jacques Amprino, the 32-year-old forward has a 3.5 cm tear in his muscle. S. Wiltord, who is in his third season representing Lyon, will return to the field just before the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match against Roma.
Sylvain Wiltord, who has represented the French national team 91 times, will also be unavailable for his country during a friendly match against Argentina, which will take place in Paris on February 7.
