The Spanish club quickly found a replacement for the dismissed head coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro and appointed Abel Resino in his place.
"I believe I can accept this challenge. I take on this job with great enthusiasm and dedication to ensure the club remains in the 'Primera' league," enthusiastically spoke A. Resino at the press conference.
"This will be a challenge for me and for the players, as I come with completely different ideas than the former coach," explained the 46-year-old strategist.
The former Madrid "Atletico" goalkeeper led the "Ciudad de Murcia" team, which competed in the second division last season and finished fourth in the standings.
Lopez Caro was dismissed after a crushing defeat in the Valencia city derby on Saturday. It was the team's ninth loss in the last 10 matches.
