The coach of an English club Glenn Roeder stated that Spanish forward Albert Luque should focus on improving his results after a failed transfer to the "PSV" club in Eindhoven.
"He needs to forget about 'PSV.' I know that it can be very difficult for players to come to terms with the idea that a move to another team did not go through, especially when they really wanted it. Players usually become depressed in such situations. However, I will not tolerate that in my team," said G. Roeder.
"Luque simply needs to understand that neither he nor I can do anything about it. Now he should devote all his efforts to the 'Newcastle' team," the coach affirmed.
Luque transferred to the Newcastle team for 9.5 million pounds sterling in the summer of 2005, from the team "Deportivo" in La Coruna (Spain), but he failed to adapt to the new club. This season in the English championship, the Spanish player defended the colors of "Newcastle" in 5 matches, always coming on as a substitute and not scoring any goals.
