The captain of the team playing in the German "Bundesliga" Thomas Zdebel will continue to play in Bochum at least until the summer of 2009 - the 33-year-old defender from Poland has extended his contract with the Ruhr Valley club for another two years.
"We are very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with Thomas," said the team's sports director Stefan Kuntz. "He is a leader on the field and is the person who puts the team's game together. It's great that we can plan the lineup together with him."
T. Zdebel arrived in Bochum in the summer of 2003 from Turkey's "Genclerbirligi". In total, the Polish player has already represented the German team in 167 matches.
