Arminas Narbekovas, the president of Vilnius "Žalgiris" club preparing for the season, when asked by EuroFootball.com about the team's preparation plans for the new season, said that the team will go to a training camp abroad, but it is still unclear where: to Turkey or Cyprus.
When asked about the goals set for the team in the upcoming season, A.Narbekovas replied: "We will try to get into the top three. Last year we were fourth, so it would seem abnormal if we aimed to finish in 5-6th place."
The leader of "Žalgiris" also mentioned the negotiations with the company "Nike" - last week he met with representatives of the company in Riga, and the results of these negotiations should be clarified in the near future.
Talking about new players, the club president said that there will definitely be some new additions, and added that the most promising reserves are currently training with the team: Aleksandras Romašovas, Andžej Falčik, Darius Tamašauskas. In addition, next week during the Unity Tournament, A.Narbekovas will go to Moscow to look for new players.
When asked about the new Baltic Football League (BFL), A.Narbekovas said that this project is interesting and added that it is a great opportunity to compare the football leagues of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
