The father of English team defender Tal Ben Haim stated that his sons will soon sign a contract with a London club, but the latter club denied such claims. The current contract of the Israeli national team footballer with Bolton team is valid until June of this year. Coach Sam Allardyce has already expressed multiple times that he has lost hope of keeping T.Ben Haim for a longer period of time. Meanwhile, the "Chelsea" team, facing Jose Mourinho, in need of defenders for a long time, has been interested in the services of the Israeli player and it seemed that they had reached an agreement and all formalities should be arranged in the near future. "The negotiations between the clubs have progressed significantly. We hope that Tal will move to London next week," - were the words of T.Ben Haim's father, as quoted. However, "Chelsea" officially denied rumors about the transfer: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm that it has negotiated with Bolton for the acquisition of Tal Ben Haim. But the negotiations were unsuccessful and the player will not move to Chelsea in January." According to unofficial information, T.Ben Haim would have cost the English champions a relatively modest sum compared to previous deals, amounting to 2 million pounds.
