The captain of the German national team and London's Chelsea player Michael Ballack decided to help his first club "Chemnitzer" with a monetary gift, which plays in the regional fourth division of the country.

The 30-year-old midfielder decided to spend a part of his salary earned playing for Chelsea, and sent money to "Chemnitzer" so that the club could rehire their physiotherapist, who had been laid off due to the financial problems currently affecting the club.

"I am very grateful to my hometown team "Chemnitzer". They have contributed a lot to my development and I would like to give back to them a little for that," - said the German officially to the club's website.

Last year, Ballack also helped his first club and donated money to provide the youth team with equipment.

Ballack started his career in the "Chemnitzer" team in 1986, and in 1995 he made his debut as a professional in the team playing in the second division in terms of strength at that time.

Before the start of this season, the German moved from Munich's "Bayern" to London's "Chelsea" and this season has scored three goals in 16 league matches in the Premier League.
