In Palanga this Saturday, friendly matches were held for the preparation of teams from the "A League" for the new season - Panevėžys and Marijampolė faced off. The country's vice-champions from Panevėžys won with a score of 2-1.

"Sūduva" took the lead after the first half with a goal from Andrius Urbšys, but in the 56th minute, "Ekranas" veteran Deimantas Bička equalized with a penalty kick, and in the 75th minute, Panevėžys club turned the result in their favor and secured the victory for their team with a goal from Dainius Saulėnas who came on as a substitute.

Marijampolė played with the same lineup in the first half, but in the second half, coach Algimantas Gabrys made ten substitutions. Meanwhile, "Ekranas" made six changes.

According to the official website of "Sūduva", several players from Belarus, Ukraine, and Brazil have been invited for a trial in the team, most of whom are attackers.

In their next friendly match, "Sūduva" plans to play against Klaipėda's "Atlantas" this Wednesday in Palanga, while "Ekranas" is expected to train in Panevėžys until their trip to Turkey in mid-February.
