From Lithuania's clubs in the off-season, one of the most active players in the market, the bronze medalist of the previous season from Vilnius is continuing to strengthen - the club has signed a contract with the twenty-year-old Brazilian striker Severino.

The Brazilian, who participated in the Vilnius team's review camp in Turkey, signed a one-year contract, with the possibility of extending it for another year. Severino trained with the capital club a month ago and made an impression on the team's coach, Alexander Tarchanov.

In the first pre-season match on Saturday against "Spartak," the Brazilian was one of the most active and noticeable players - he even scored a goal, but the referees marked a very doubtful offside and did not count the goal.

Severino is a graduate of the youth academy of Brazil's Rio de Janeiro "Flamengo" club. With the youth team of the club, the striker became the Brazilian youth champion three times.

As an eighteen-year-old, Severino attracted interest from clubs like "Monaco" and "Parma." According to unofficial data, he even participated in a trial with the first club, but the clubs did not agree on the transfer fee.

The capital club also preliminarily agreed on a contract with former Marijampolė "Sūduva" defender Davit Čigladze. The Georgian has been participating in the "Vėtra" trial since the beginning of this year, playing friendly matches with "Spartak" and is expected to sign a contract in the near future.

It is worth mentioning that "Vėtra" this year acquired former youth national team defender Mindaugas Panka from the other capital team "FC Vilnius," signed defender Algirdas Jankauskas, who played last season on loan from Perm "Amkar," and saw the return of Gediminas Butrimavičius from the USA. The Vilnius club also signed contracts with defenders Almir Sulejmanovič from Slovenia and Marijan Budimir from Croatia.

"Vėtra" is still camping in Turkey, where on Tuesday they will face Moscow's "Dynamo," and on Friday - Odesa's "Chornomorets." Later, the capital club's footballers will return to Lithuania, but will soon hold a second training camp in Antalya.
