The Croatian has a serious health issue - he needed a kidney transplant operation, which means the footballer can only expect to return to the field after two months. I.Klasnić had his appendix removed last November, after which it became clear that a kidney transplant was also necessary. The Croatian national team footballer will be lying on the operating table in the near future. "Werder" team coach Thomas Schaaf did not hide his concern: "The most important thing is that Ivan can play again. He has always been useful to us. We hope that the operation will go smoothly and we will soon have Ivan back among us." Celebrating his 27th birthday next week, the striker will represent "Werder" for the fifth season, having scored 1 goal in 12 matches so far. He has represented the Croatian national team 26 times, scoring 8 goals. I.Klasnić will also miss the UEFA Cup 16th final match next month against Ajax from Amsterdam."
