Dainius Gleveckas, an experienced defender, has joined Panevėžys "Ekrano" as they prepare for the new season. Before that, this 29-year-old football player played in Ukraine for Mariupol's "Illichevets" and Donetsk's "Shakhtar" clubs.
D. Gleveckas has also played for Panevėžys team - he defended the honor of "Ekranas" from 1994 to 1998.
During the offseason, Panevėžys club has already been strengthened by safeties Deimantas Bička and Žilvinas Banys, while goalkeeper Liubošas Vojtaško from Slovakia and Czech player Tomašas Kopšiva have already left the team. The future of Serbian player Bogdan Stefanovič will be clarified later.
Meanwhile, another defender from Panevėžys and the Lithuanian national team, Gediminas Paulauskas, continues to seek success abroad: currently, he is participating in a trial with Krasnodar's "Kuban" club.
