On Tuesday evening, the first participants of the Carling Cup final of the English league were revealed. They became the football players of London's "Chelsea" team, who, after sensational draws away with 4-league "Wycombe," took revenge at home with a secure result of 4-0. After the break, the picture on the field did not change, and the hosts attacked more. Rarely appearing on the field, Lassana Diarra had a couple of opportunities to score. In the 67th minute, F. Lampard shot from just above the goal line, and soon after, D. Drogba failed to score from a few meters away. However, the goal came after a few minutes. In the 69th minute, A. Shevchenko made a successful pass and F. Lampard was able to confuse the goalkeeper and score into the empty net, finally relieving the tension.
After the third goal, the "Chelsea" players became even more furious, and in the 90th minute, after receiving a pass from D. Drogba, F. Lampard ended the crushing of "Wycombe" with a precise shot from a few meters away - 4-0.
In the final, "Chelsea" will meet the winner of the pair "Tottenham" and "Arsenal." These teams will compete on Wednesday.
