Glazgo midfielder Jeremy Clement is leaving the Scottish club and moving to his native France, to the Paris team. The financial details of the move are not disclosed.
J. Clement arrived at Rangers last summer from Lyon for 1 million pounds. He played 22 matches in half a season, did not score any goals, and did not fit into the team. Recently, Rangers coach Paul Le Guen left for PSG. The French footballer expressed his desire to play in a team led by this coach and turned down Lyon's offer to return.
"It's a great opportunity for me to return to France, to a big club, and to work with Paul Le Guen again. I am glad for my time at Rangers, I will remember it, and I thank all the fans for their support," said 22-year-old J. Clement.
Meanwhile, Rangers extended their contract with Chris Burke until 2009. This 23-year-old midfielder has been playing for the Glasgow club since 2002 and has scored 10 goals in 64 matches.
