As reported by the Russian media on Thursday, 29-year-old defender of the Lithuanian national team Rolandas Džiaukštas has extended his contract with Ramenskoye for one year. The player's contract with the Russian club had expired in December and his fate within the team was uncertain. However, after "Saturn" returned from their training camp in Turkey, the coaches decided to extend the contract with the Lithuanian for one more season. 29-year-old Džiaukštas, who started his career at Vilnius "Panerys" and later played for "Žalgiris" and Kaliningrad "Baltika", moved to Russia in 2001 to represent the "Saturn" team, where he spent two seasons. In the middle of the 2003 season, the defender moved to Moscow's "Torpedo-Metallurg", which is now called "Moscow". However, at the end of 2005, R.Džiaukštas decided to return to "Saturn". It is worth mentioning that after Nerijus Barasa got injured, instead of him, Rolandas Džiaukštas was invited to friendly matches in France against Malian footballers.
