On Saturday in Vilnius, the "Vilnius" team, preparing for the upcoming season in the "A League", met in a friendly match with last year's I League vice-champion Alytus "Alytis" club and easily won with a score of 5-1.
"Vilnius", which debuted the new goalkeeper Liudvikas Valius and several foreign legionnaires from Brazil in the squad, took the initiative from the very beginning of the match and scored the first goal in the middle of the half with a shot into the far corner by Muller.
Just ten minutes later, the team captain Aivaras Laurišas scored the second goal after a penalty kick, and just before the break, the young Arvydas Novikovas, replacing the injured Paulinho, added another one - the capital's team won the first half with a three-goal lead.
After about an hour of play, "Alytis" reduced the gap when Saulius Laibinis scored with a header, but soon A. Laurišas took advantage of another opportunity and scored the fourth goal for the Vilnius club, and at the end of the match, the Brazilian Adilson scored the fifth goal, sprinting onto the field in the second half.
"Vilnius" confidently won 5-1 and secured their first victory this year. On February 3, the residents of Vilnius will play in a friendly derby against the "Vėtra" team.
