On May 27, in Klaipėda, the meeting of the Discipline Committee of the National Football Clubs Association (NFKA) took place. Four items on the agenda were dedicated to resolving disputes and protests arising from the 6th round of matches of the NFKA championship between FK and FBK.

The Discipline Committee imposed a fine of 250 Lt. on FK "Vėtra" for receiving 4 yellow cards and 1 red card during the match. FK "Vėtra" goalkeeper M. Poškus, who received a red card, was punished with a one-match disqualification.

The protest of FK "Vėtra" regarding an incident that occurred during the match between the teams was also considered. This incident involved a player from the team of Kaunas, D. Sanajev, who attacked FK "Vėtra" goalkeeper M. Poškus in the goal area.

After reviewing the video footage of this incident, the NFKA Discipline Committee decided to partially uphold the protest of "Vėtra" and to disqualify Kaunas FBK "Kaunas" player D. Sanajev for one match for reckless play that caused traumatic consequences for the opponent.

Considering the actions and mistakes made by the referee that caused a huge stir during the match, the NFKA Discipline Committee decided to appeal to the leadership of the Lithuanian Football Referees Association (LFTA) to request the removal of referee R. Čiža from officiating A League championship matches until the beginning of the III A League championship round – i.e. until August 2, 2004.

Regarding the written complaints from FBK "Kaunas" about violations of match organization rules observed between "Vėtra" and "Kaunas", the committee decided to warn FK "Vėtra" head coach V. Ivanauskas for unethical behavior during and after the matches. A fine of 100 Lt. was imposed on the "Vėtra" club for failing to ensure order at the stadium during the matches.
