J. Mourinho: "I remain in the "Chelsea" club" © EuroFootball.com

In recent days, rumors have spread that London's head coach Jose Mourinho could leave the club after this season, the Portuguese rushed to deny these rumors.

"My contract is valid until 2010, and that is very important, so I have no intention of going anywhere," Mourinho said after Chelsea's victory in the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest.

"I am Chelsea's coach now, I will be Chelsea's coach after this season, and I think the same will be true until 2010. If I believed what I read in the press, there are currently about 11 coaches vying for my position, but I am not at all worried. I just want to do my job well - the best I can. The players feel that I am the same as before, with the same goals and motivation, and they believe in me," added the Portuguese.

"We are together, and we all aim for victory. That is currently our goal in life," Mourinho responded when asked if Chelsea still hopes to win all four tournaments they are participating in this season - the English Championship, FA Cup, League Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

There have also been reports in the media that the Chelsea coach will leave the team after the season due to disagreements with the club's owner Roman Abramovich, but Mourinho refused to comment further.

"The only thing I am 100 percent sure of and can reveal to you is that everyone in this club is striving for victory," Mourinho said. "That is the most important thing, and all the talk of some people's opinions about the path we should take is completely untrue."

"Roman and I communicate just as we did before. The only difference now is that he spends less time in London. But I cannot complain about that because he is also a person and has his personal life. He pays me and the club's sports director, Peter Kenyon, huge sums of money to take care of the team, so he doesn't have to be constantly at the club's headquarters. When he returns, he is always warmly welcomed in the team's dressing room," the coach said.

Mourinho also added that despite injuries plaguing his team, he does not intend to acquire any new players during the winter transfer window: "I have John Terry, I have Petr Cech, so I don't need more players and I can assure you that in January Chelsea will not buy anything."

As reported, Chelsea's main defensive pillar John Terry is already recovering from his injury and should return to the field in the Premier League match against Charlton on February 3.
