Bremen and the Croatian national team's striker Ivan Klasnič will need another kidney transplant surgery, as the first one was not successful.
Last November, the football player underwent surgery for appendicitis, after which it was revealed that a kidney transplant surgery was also necessary for the Croatian. The operation was performed last week, but according to doctors, the body did not accept the new kidney.
However, Ivan Klasnič's lawyer Klaus Peter Horndaschas stated that his client is not facing a serious danger: "Ivan's condition is not critical or very bad. Despite the complications, he feels good."
According to doctors, the surgery will need to be repeated, and the donors are expected to be people from the football player's family.
Earlier, it was estimated that rehabilitation would take between 6 to 8 weeks, but at the moment, no one can predict when Ivan Klasnič will be able to play again. According to K.P. Horndaschas, the football player is psychologically exhausted.
