After last week Maurice Cohen was removed from the presidential duties, the club announced on Monday that they changed their minds and reinstated the Frenchman.
Team shareholder Franck Guidicelli, who temporarily took over the duties of president for a week, will now be Cohen's assistant and will handle the team's sports affairs.
"The board of directors of the team decided to trust Maurice Cohen and allow him to continue leading the team," reads the official statement from "Nice" to the press. "Franck Guidicelli will assist him."
Currently, the Nice team is in the 19th position in the French "Ligue 1" championship after 22 rounds and is fighting to remain in the top division of French football.
The club also announced the return of a defender who left the team last summer and signed a contract with Paris's "P.S.G" club, but did not establish himself there and is now ready to return. This decision seems to be supported by the capital club's strategist Paul Le Guen, who does not see a place for the defender in his team's lineup.
