The reigning English club continues its club policy and tries to attract young talents from Spain, a market that is well known to the team's Spanish coach Rafa Benitez.
According to the latest news, the English club has almost agreed on the acquisition of the young Francis Duran, who plays for the team.
The Spanish club "Malaga", ranked second in the Spanish league in terms of strength, does not hide the fact that they are struggling with financial problems and do not expect to keep Duran in their team. It is reported that the footballer will be loaned to Liverpool for an amount of 100,000 euros until 2008, and then the English club will be able to finally buy the player's rights for an additional 400,000 euros.
The 18-year-old player should travel to England in the near future and does not hide his ambition to wear the Liverpool jersey as soon as possible.
"I have already spoken with Rafa Benitez and I am convinced that this is the best choice for me," Duran told the Spanish press. "Playing for Liverpool is my dream and now I will do everything I can to earn a place in the first team."
The team also announced that they have reached an agreement with another Spanish club, La Coruna, regarding the acquisition of a defender. According to the press, Liverpool should pay about 4 million euros for the 24-year-old Spaniard, which is nearly three times the amount that Madrid's Real paid for the defender less than half a year ago.
It is worth mentioning that during the winter transfer window, Liverpool has already attracted such talented young players as Jordy Brouwer, Astrit Ajdarevic, Daniele Padelli, and Emiliano Insua.
