The new club striker, Brazilian Ronaldo, expressed hope that with his performance in the team he will be able to earn an invitation to represent the Brazilian national team again.
"My career in the national team is not over yet," said the 30-year-old footballer, who immediately got to work after moving to an Italian club in an attempt to regain optimal form.
"I am not done yet. I want to score many goals and be called up to the national team for my performance," the confident striker did not hide his self-belief. "I am happy to play in Milan, especially because I will have five other Brazilians alongside me."
Currently, Ronaldo is working with doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman, who hopes that the Brazilian will soon be in good condition.
"He is working hard, and there are only a few problems left to solve. I thought he would need at least a month to return to the squad, but now it is clear that he will be ready much sooner," the specialist said. "He is working hard in training without any signs of pain or passivity. This allows us to believe that we will see his debut very soon."
Meanwhile, Milan's midfielder Gennaro Gattuso extended his contract with the club until 2011. The Italian national team player was linked with "Man Utd" and "Chelsea," but decided to tie his future to Milan.
Recently, defenders Kakha Kaladze and Clarence Seedorf, midfielders Andrea Pirlo, Yoann Gourcuff, Kaka, and striker Ricardo Oliveira also signed contracts of the same length with Milan.
