Two legionnaires from Belarus played in the Marijampolė team - defender Aleksandras Sobolis and midfielder Leonidas Lagunas, who arrived for a trial run.
The 24-year-old A. Sobolis came from the 2005 Belarusian champions Soligorsk "Shakhtar" and has previously played for Minsk's "Torpedo" and Zhdanovichi's "Dariya" clubs.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old L. Lagunas, who has recently played for Bryansk's "Dynamo," spent a significant part of his career in Russia representing Khabarovsk's "Energia," Tomsk's "Tom," Moscow's "Torpedo" teams, and played for Borisov's "BATE" as well as the same "Shakhtar" club in his homeland.
