Lithuania's youth national team (up to 21 years old) parted ways peacefully in four matches against their Latvian counterparts - just like three months ago in Kaunas, the second match between the two teams at the Riga "Keizarmežs" sports complex ended in a draw.

U-21 Latvia 1 - 1 Lithuania U-21

13' [1 - 0] Vitalijs Smirnovs

82' [1 - 1] Žilvinas Banys

72' Aleksandrs Vlasovs (Latvia) was sent off the field

In November, the youth teams clashed twice in Lithuania and then one match [link="http://www.eurofootball.com/index.php?page=news&id=7789"]was won by the Latvian visitors[/link], while the other [link="http://www.eurofootball.com/index.php?page=news&id=7808"]ended in a draw[/link]. This time, the Lithuanians managed to achieve [link="http://www.eurofootball.com/index.php?page=news&id=8702"]revenge with a 2-1 result[/link] on the road, so in the fourth match it finally became clear who is stronger.

However, even this match, which was moved from the Riga Olympic Sports Center to the "Keizarmežs" complex, ended in a draw.

Latvians were the first to break through - scoring a goal in the 13th minute after the goalkeeper pushed the ball towards his own goal, scored by Vitalijs Smirnovs, who also scored in their clash in November.

However, in the 72nd minute, the home team's goalkeeper Aleksandrs Vlasovs was sent off the field for his last hope gap, and the visitors took advantage of the numerical superiority to equalize the score 8 minutes before the end of the match through goalkeeper Žilvinas Banys.
