In the 19th minute, a hundred percent chance to convert the Lithuanian champions' advantage into a goal was missed by Georgian Nukri Manchkava, as the defender failed to convert the penalty earned by Edin Pehlič - the goalkeeper S.Klevinskas saved the ball.
At the end of the first half, "Sūduva" threatened the opponents' goal, but Mindaugas Malinauskas saved a powerful penalty kick from Gvidas Juška, on loan from Marijampolė.
However, in the early minutes of the second half, "Kaunas" scored - R.Beniušis broke through from the right side and passed the ball towards the goal, which passed through Gytis Padimanskas and ended up in the net of "Sūduva".
Later, both teams exchanged dangerous shots from a distance, but after missing a bizarre goal, the Marijampolė team could not recover and had to admit the opponents' superiority.
