After this season, Hamit Altintop will leave the Gelsenkirchen club, which he currently represents. The 24-year-old midfielder announced this on Thursday, after a final conversation with "Schalke" manager Andreas Müller.
The new player's club will most likely be Munich's "Bayern". Hamit's agent, Reca Faceli, also took part in negotiations with "Schalke".
H. Altintop has been playing for the Gelsenkirchen team since 2003. This season, "Schalke" was joined by his brother, Halil Altintop, who moved from the "Kaiserslautern" club. Halil Altintop has signed a contract with his current club until 2010.
