Czech national team and Italian Serie A club defender Marek Jankulovski has agreed to extend his contract with the "red and blacks" for another four years and has committed to stay at "San Siro" until 2011.
The 29-year-old left-back, who scored a winning goal in Sunday's match against Livorno and secured Milan's victory with a score of 2-1, has been a key player for Carlo Ancelotti's team this season, despite often being afflicted by injuries, and has scored three times in 21 Serie A championship matches.
The versatile player who represented the Czech national team 57 times was acquired by Milan in 2005 from another Serie A team, Udinese.
The Czech player has participated in all six UEFA Champions League Group H matches for Milan this season, and he is expected to help the Italian club in next week's round of 16 match against the multiple Scottish Premier League champion Glasgow Celtic.
The Milan team is currently in 7th position in the country's championship after 22 rounds, having gathered 30 points.
