The defender of the Spanish league club from Argentina Rodolfo Arruabarrena announced that he will leave the "Yellow Submarine" team after the expiration of his contract at the end of this season.
This season, the "Villarreal" club has been in the midst of controversies - the head coach Manuel Pellegrini did not agree with one of the best Argentine national team defenders Juan Roman Riquelme and loaned the player to his hometown club "Boca Juniors" for six months.
"I have decided to announce that I will not continue playing for the 'Villarreal' team, as there are many disagreements in the club," R.Arruabarrena told the newspaper "Marca". "It is precisely for this reason that I decided to continue my career elsewhere."
This season, the Argentine played little because he pulled his thigh in October and did not play for about three months.
The 31-year-old defender left the "Boca Juniors" club in 2000 and joined the ranks of a Spanish club. He was one of the team's leaders in 2004, when the club reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, and last season, together with the entire team, managed to break through to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, where after a tough fight, they were defeated by the English Premier League club "Arsenal" from London.
The "Villarreal" team has collected 29 points after 22 matches in the national championship and occupies the 13th place.
