In Turkey, Vilnius "Vėtra" football players who were camping played their second friendly match. The opponents of the capital's club were supposed to be the "Vaslui" club, but on the last day the Romanians changed their plans and hastily agreed to play a friendly match with another club from this country, the leader of the second league of Romania, "Otopen" from Bucharest. The Lithuanian team lost the match with a score of 0-1.

0 - 1 "Otopen"

"Vėtra": Romanenko; Budimir (46' A.Jankauskas), Raliukonis, Sasnauskas, Pedro, Panka, Butrimavičius (46' Šernas), Božinovski (60' E.Juška), Milošeski, Severino, V.Stankevičius.

The Romanians scored a winning goal in the 27th minute. "Vėtra" football players had several opportunities to equalize the score, and mostly threatened the "Otopen" goal by Vitalis Stankevičius - after his header the opponents were saved by the crossbar, and again V.Stankevičius could have scored after breaking through alone against the goalkeeper.

"Vėtra" coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas stated that this was one of the worst matches in terms of preparation for the season: "In the first half, we played very sluggishly, lacked pace, there were many inaccurate passes. After changing the midfielders - Božinovski and Butrimavičius, the game became faster, we created more opportunities. Unfortunately, we do not succeed in turning these opportunities into goals, in crucial moments the players rush too much, lack cool-headed decisions."

In this match, the "Vėtra" goal was defended by Moldova's national team goalkeeper Denis Romanenko, but the team's coaches have not yet decided whether to sign a contract with him.

"It is difficult to evaluate Romanenko's performance. He did not save us from the goal, and there were not many opportunities for him to show himself. There were few opponent attacks on our goal, so it is difficult to judge the goalkeeper's abilities from this match," said A. Tarchanovas."
